We import duty-free liquor, tobacco and food, hold it in our own bonded warehouse, and supply ship chandlers and duty-free operators under bond after customs declaration and bonded transport.
How we trade
We do not compete with our customers
KMS trades business to business only. Supply to vessels runs through the 130-odd ship chandlers at ports across Korea, and we do not sell to crew, travelers or any other end consumer.

Our customers are ship chandlers and duty-free operators. We run no retail and no direct sales to end consumers.

We stay out of our customers’ market
Selling to vessels is our customers’ business. KMS stands behind them with import, bonded storage, customs and delivery — the place we have held since we started as a wholesaler in 2005.

The last mile, on their behalf
We deliver to the ship’s side at the pier ourselves, but we do it to fulfill our customer’s order. The trade and the invoice are always with our customer.
Business model
Four steps, all in-house.
Keeping the last mile in our own hands is how KMS works. From import to delivery at the pier, every step is done by us — while selling to the vessel stays with our customer.

Import
We import duty-free liquor, tobacco and food directly from brand owners and official agents in Korea and abroad, or purchase locally. We follow brand policy.

Bonded storage
Goods are held in our own bonded warehouse in Gamcheon, Busan — operated first-in, first-out, with a daily stock count that keeps customs records and physical inventory matched.

Customs declaration and clearance
We file bonded-cargo declarations and loading permits accurately and promptly, and stand ready for customs inventory audits at any time.

Bonded transport and delivery
We deliver to the place our customer specifies — the ship’s side at the pier when needed — and file the completion report with customs. The standard is on time, in full, without incident.

Ship chandlers
We work with some 130 ship chandlers at ports across Korea, supplying the duty-free liquor, tobacco and food needed by ocean-going vessels, fishing vessels and Russian vessels.

Cruise
Onboard supply for international cruise ships calling at Korean ports runs through B2B trade with ship chandlers. Started in 2013, resumed in 2023.

Ferry
We supply onboard duty-free shops on international ferries and passenger-terminal duty-free shops at Pyeongtaek, Gunsan and elsewhere. The channel began with our affiliate KO-M FERRY’s ferry duty-free business in 2007 and expanded to terminal shops in 2014.

Diplomatic
Since 2021 we have supplied embassies and consulates in Korea, following every rule and procedure to the letter.

In-flight duty-free
Since 2024 we have supplied in-flight duty-free beer to airlines.

Airport duty-free
Since 2019 we have supplied regional airport duty-free shops, including Cheongju and Gwangju.
