Why we work

Surviving was not a reason to exist.

We started in 2005 and came through twenty years that held a global financial crisis, a diplomatic freeze and a pandemic. That time gave us strength and experience, but having survived does not explain the next twenty years.

So we changed the question — from what we should do next, to why we should do it, to who we are.

The answer was at the port of Busan in 2010: bringing seafarers what they need in conditions few people ever see, and joining brands that cannot reach with customers who cannot easily source. It was what we did best, and it became the reason we exist.

In 2026 we set that reason down as six values. They are not sentences for a wall but the standard we use in meetings, on site, and in the decisions of an ordinary day. In one line: being specific is being kind.

We create the value of connection.

We connect markets and people.

We make the extraordinary in our own way, even within specialized markets. We exist today because we believe in that value.

    The solution to every problem lies with the customer and the market. Only by looking at everything from the customer’s point of view — how customers would see each of our thoughts and actions — will the answer be found.

  2. 02. Find the hidden 1%.

    What completes our system is your effort to add your 1%. If we make it 100%, the world will be on our side.

  3. 03. Leaders speak in numbers.

    We are different people from different backgrounds. If we use numbers as our second language, they will become a powerful tool that supports our reasoning.

    Regardless of department or rank, if there is something that needs to be done, do it right now. And that someone is you.

    Direct communication with good intent is the most effective tool of all. The words we find the courage to say become medicine, not wounds.

    The future must be better than the present. Let us make our sea wider and deeper.

How we work

We do not skip a step.

Order → customs declaration → picking and dispatch → delivery → sales → closing → collection. Every job at KMS follows this standard flow, and the five principles below protect it.

  1. 01

    A transaction that is not in the ERP does not exist for the company.

    Every transaction exists from the moment it is recorded in the system. Unrecorded transactions do not proceed.

  2. 02

    Nothing is handled verbally.

    Anything agreed by phone or in conversation is put on record and confirmed. The record is the promise.

  3. 03

    We do not skip a step.

    Urgency is no reason to drop a step. No dispatch without a customs declaration, no delivery without confirmation.

  4. 04

    Incidents are reported the same day.

    A problem grows the moment it is hidden. We report it the day it happens and deal with it together.

  5. 05

    Mistakes are recorded and turned into assets.

    We record the cause and the fix so the same mistake is not made twice. The record becomes the next person’s guide.
